Home Tour Nadia

Home Tour: Nadia from Little Berry Bush

It is a very special blogpost today because we want to share with you the corners of an amazingly beautiful apartment that belongs to one of our loyal customers, Nadia also known as @berrys_home.

Nadia has definitely an eye for styling and decorating spaces although her career is not anyhow related to design. We decided to visit Nadia’s charming little flat and ask a few questions about her lifestyle and relationship with the place she calls home.

Tell us a little bit about yourself. Where do you live and what do you do?

Hi, I’m Nadia, 41 years old and I live in Wädenswil, luckily right next to the lake. I’m a part-time mummy of two wonderful and stubborn dalmatians called Levi and Maila and I’m working for a technology company.

How did you find this apartment?

Honestly, I was just in the right place at the right time. I was looking for a new apartment so I went to homegate.ch at that time. Just 30 min before my current landlord uploaded the advertisement and I ended up to be the first applicant. It was love at first sight!

What do you know about the building and its history?

Unfortunately not that much. It was built in 1897 and a lot of the historic features are still existing like the old radiators for example.

What do you love about this place?

Oh, a lot ! Every corner benefits from beautiful historic features, including decorative tiles, beautiful plaster work and parquet flooring. Also every room is spacious and bright what I really appreciate.

Your apartment looks very beautiful and all objects are styled very nicely. Do you have any tips for decorating home?

For me this comes with passion. I’m a real estate junkie ever since I was a kid. I always dreamed of how my home would look like, where my dinning table would go and how it would smell. For me less is more and I like a minimalist set-up. Just decide how you want to live and then let it go. Trust your eye and don’t be shy in trying things out or mixing patterns. Last but not least look in design books, magazines and of course Instagram.

How often do you change display and decoration in your home?

A lot! My friends would probably now say she’s overdoing it 🙂 I have so many ideas in my head that sometimes I have the feeling I need a second apartment to fulfill all my dreams and projects.

How does your perfect “slow moment” at home looks like?

Just give me a cup of coffee, a good book combined with good music and you gonna find me in my reading chair. Nothing better than this!

What are your favorite places to shop for furniture and home decor, locally and online?

I shop a lot online. Connox.ch, finnishdesignshop.com, artilleriet.se and teaandkate.co.uk are currently my favorite shops. For art prints I can recommend theposterclub.com and wallofart.se. In Switzerland I especially like nordish.ch, interior-butik.ch, collabzuerich.com and of course homeandfleur.com
